Elinchrom Rotalux Square 70x70 cm

Elinchrom Rotalux Recta 70 x 70 cm is a compact softbox for photographers who want to work with soft, even light while maintaining precise control over placement and direction. It is particularly well suited for portraits, product photography, and smaller setups where a flexible format makes a real difference in day-to-day use.

Soft light with flexible control

The square shape creates a balanced light pattern with smooth transitions and natural shadow definition. This makes the Rotalux Recta 70 x 70 cm a strong choice when you want clean, controlled light for both people and products.

The softbox is designed to be easy to position close to the subject, helping you shape the light with greater precision. Its format works just as well in smaller studio spaces as it does on location, where fast handling and easy transport are important parts of the workflow.

Two diffusers for smoother light

Rotalux Recta 70 x 70 cm is equipped with both an inner diffuser and an outer front diffuser. Together, they help create an even spread of light across the entire surface and a softer transition between highlights and shadows.

This gives you greater control over how wrapping or defined the light should feel, depending on the subject, distance, and the look you want to create. For portraits, that means soft and flattering light. For product photography, it gives you better control over reflections and surfaces.

Quick to set up, easy to bring with you

The Rotalux system is built for a smooth workflow. The softbox opens and folds down with an umbrella-style construction that makes it quick to assemble, easy to pack, and simple to transport between shoots.

The bag is included, making it easy to store the softbox safely and keep it clean when not in use. This makes Rotalux a practical choice for photographers who move between studio work and location shooting.

Deflectors that shape the light closer to the source

One of the features that makes the Rotalux range especially useful is the ability to work with Elinchrom deflectors. The deflectors are available in gold, silver, and translucent versions and are positioned centrally over the flash tube to influence the character of the light right at the source.

By choosing the right deflector, you can adjust both the hardness of the light and its colour tone:

• Silver gives you a more neutral and defined light
• Gold adds a warmer tone
• Translucent helps maintain a softer look

This gives you more freedom to adapt the light to your subject, skin tones, materials, and the mood you want to create in the image.

Choose the right speedring for your system

The speedring is not included and needs to be ordered separately. To use the softbox, choose the speedring that matches your flash system.

Several options are available depending on the light source you use:

• Elinchrom Rotalux Speedring Elinchrom for Elinchrom flash systems
• Rotalux Speedring for OCF for compatible OCF solutions (Elinchrom and Profoto)
• Rotalux Speedring Broncolor

With the right speedring, you get a stable and secure fit while being able to use Rotalux with different flash systems.
